A new set of controller software is coming soon.  This significantly expands the capabilities of the W2DRZ CT-1 controller board.  Below is a list of the main features that have been added.
  • Serial Port Baud selection to 115200
  • Two motor speed control schemes, Jog and speed control outputs.  The speed control is activated whenever the antenna is within a user selectable number of degrees from the target.
  • Use of Incremental Encoders with Zero/Index Pulse outputs. This allows automatic calibration correction if/when the incremental encoder has gotten out of sync with the controller display.
  • Ability to save and recall any number of encoder and position sets.  This allows saving a known good configuration and calibration, and then restoring it later after changes or tests.  For instance a new dish feed may be installed on an offset that requires a different calibration.  By saving the original settings and the new feed's settings, it becomes easy to switch back and forth.  These settings are saved on the controlling computer's hard disk and are named by the user.  The user can also save a description for each configuration that is saved.
